Mayor's Corner

Christmas is the most favorite time of year — especially for young people and children. Parents and adults will do their absolute best to make this time of year as happy as they possibly can year after year.

Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to compete in a vintage national cross-country trials competition and motocross race all on motorcycles manufactured before 1974. In these races there are many different classes divided by age, skill level and separated by male and female.

During my tenure I’ve been very fortunate that the good Lord has helped me accomplish just about everything I’ve tried or claimed that we would do. Are there more things I would like to accomplish for the great citizens of Vernon Parish before I lay down my mayor’s hat?
