Grant Bush joined the City of Leesville as Director of Planning and Community Development/Land Use Planner in 2016.
A native of Sulphur, he has over the past 26 years assisted the City of Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish Police Jury as an Urban Planner, and then as an MPO Director at IMCAL (the Regional Planning Commission for Southwest Louisiana).
His duties in Leesville will include coordinating outreach to the general community with respect to specific projects and activities of the City; fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including elected officials, government agencies, Fort Polk and JRTC, the general public, property owners, the business community, and the Chamber of Commerce; developing multimedia presentations for stakeholder constituencies; and Land Use and Flood Plain management.
His roots run deep in Vernon Parish. He is the son of Joel Bush of Hornbeck and JoAnn Grant of Leesville, the eldest brother of Gary W. Bush of Kurthwood, and the grandson of the late Smith and Blanch Grant of Kurthwood.
