Sydney Allbritton, currently serving as Miss Rodeo Louisiana, visited Leesville City Hall today where City Administrator, Patti Larney, proclaimed October 6, 2022 as Sydney Allbritton Appreciation Day in her honor.
Sydney will be representing the state at the 2023 Miss Rodeo America pageant at Las Vegas in November-December 2022.
Growing up on her family’s farm in Downsville, Louisiana, she developed a passion for horses at a young age. She enjoyed competing in a variety of equine events, though the rodeo setting was always her preferred environment and led to her interest in rodeo pageants. In past years she has held the titles of Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo 2018 and Miss Southeastern Circuit 2020-21.
Today, Sydney is 26 years old and resides in West Monroe. She is a senior at Louisiana State University of Alexandria where she is studying Health Sciences and hopes to attend one of Louisiana’s prestigious law schools after graduation.
Her free time is spent working at practical hobbies such as gardening, canning and experimenting with new recipes. She also loves to spend time with her three horses: Missy, Crash and Elmer, as well as her miniature donkey, Gravy.
