MILLAGE RATE AND ROLL FORWARD ADOPTION

NOTICE PUBLISHED IN THE LEESVILLE DAILY LEADER

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23 (C) of the Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the City of Leesville located in Vernon Parish will be held at the regular meeting place, City Council Chambers at City Hall; 508 South 5th Street, Leesville, LA 71446, on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rate after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.  The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected for General Alimony in the next tax year from the increased millage is $254,306.64 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $6,419.84. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected for Sewerage System in the next tax year from the increased millage is $419,729.41 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $10,862.67.  The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected for Streets in the next tax year from the increased millage is $207,395.71 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $5,430.71.
