The City of Leesville Finance/Human Resources department is the office responsible for the accounting, receipt/disbursement of monies, maintaining financial records, payroll, human resources, and oversight of departmental budgets. The Accounts Payable, Tax Collection, and Utility Billing departments fall under the Finance Department's oversight.
The Finance Department aims to provide timely and accurate financial information to the public in compliance with generally accepted governmental accounting standards. The Finance Department maintains the following governmental funds within the city's budget & financials: General Fund, Special Revenue Funds (Sales Tax & Public Safety), Enterprise Funds (Sewer & Water), Debt Service Funds, and Capital Project Funds.
An annual independent audit of the city's financial statements is required by the city charter and by state and federal law.
