complete and reliable information about the presence of contaminants in their drinking
water and to determine whether further actions are warranted to protect public
We are required to monitor your drinking water for chlorine residual at
our point of collection taps at the same time bacteriological samples are
collected. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not
your drinking water meets health standards.
During the monitoring period ofJanuary
01, 2015 to January 31, 2015, the sample chlorine reading was inadvertently left off a routine
report submitted to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals- Office of
Public Health which resulted in a violation of the Public Notice Rule on the
City of Leesville’s Water System Consumer Confidence Report.
The sample chlorine reading was retaken and resubmitted and the
violation is now noted as correct.
